Elmir Nizamov was born on the 24th of December 1986 in Ulyanovsk (Russia). In 2006 Elmir graduated from the piano section of Ulyanovsk academy of music, composers' faculty of Kazan State Conservatory n.a. N. Zhiganov (prof. A.B. Luppov's class) in 2011 and his postgraduate studies in 2014. In 2012 he successfully passed his internship at Shoenberg Centre (Vienna) and an internship at the International academy for young composers (Tchaikovsky city) in 2015. Individually trained by Peter Ablinger, Raphael Cendo and Beat Furrer. Elmir Nizamov is a repeated participant of the young composers' seminars held in «Ruza» under the supervision of V. Ekimovsky, chairman of ACM-2 (Association for Contemporary Music).

In 2013 «Celestial motion» composed by Elmir Nizamov for symphony orchestra represented Russian Federation at the «International Rostrum of Contemporary Music» contest organized by UNESCO International Music Council as well as the European Broadcasting Union. The very same composition was played by the senior orchestra of Monte Carlo (Monaco) under the supervision of Alexandr Sladkovskij.
The grand premiere of Kara Pulat (Black Chamber) opera composed by Elmir Nizamov is best remembered as the greatest musical event of 2015. That composition has been awarded by the honorable «Tantana» republican theatrical premium, «Event of the year» nomination. It has also been included in the Long list of the Golden Mask during the 2014-2015 season.
Elmir Nizamov is a known author of a variety of chamber, instrumental, symphonic and choral works, songs as well as the musical pieces for theatrical performance and motion picture. Among his major compositions it's necessary to point out the following: Altyn Kazan (Golden Kazan) musical (2011) and the opera-legend Kara Pulat (Black Chamber). Elmir Nizamov is a member of the Russian Composers Council, resident of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Tatarstan Republic and senior professor at the composition department in the Kazan State Conservatory n.a. N. Zhiganov. Elmir Nizamov became a 2015 winner of the Musa Dzhalil award for the creation of Altyn Kazan (Golden Kazan) musical and a considerable contribution to the development of the musical art of Tatarstan Republic.

One the most famous performers of Elmir Nizamov's compositions are the following: State Symphony Orchestra of Tatarstan Republic, Philharmonic orchestra of Monte Carlo, «Orpheus» Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Academic Symphonic orchestra of St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall, chamber orchestra La Primavera, chamber chorus of Tatarstan Republic, mixed chorus of Kazan State Conservatory, Kiev Kamerata chamber orchestra.

    • Award winner of the «Composer of the XXI century» International composers' contest (Moscow, Russia 2013)
    • Winner of the Russian national composers' contest of the «Orpheus» radio (Moscow, Russia 2013).
    • Diploma winner and People's Choice Awards winner of the International composers' contest n. a. A. Petrov, «symphonic music» nomination ( Petersburg, Russia, 2014).
    • In 2014 the «Atlar chaba» (Running horses) composition (lyrics by R. Haris, performed by A. Suleyman) represented Republic of Tatarstan on the Turkvision-2014 International singing contest and took a second place in that contest.
